Six drug personalities, one of them former barangay chairmen were arrested by different drug enforcement unit of Police Regional Office 9 in a separate drug buy bust operation in Isabela City, Zamboanga City and Ipil on August 25, 2020.
PBGEN. Jesus D. Cambay, Jr., PRO IX Regional Director identified the arrested drug personalities as Edwin Yu Ramirez, Ruben Quijano Cuevas, Marphy Elemia Tubil, Sitti Laima Ambutong, Shiela Gaco Anthony and Michael Hussin y Labor.
Edwin Yu Ramirez, 54 years old married, former Barangay Chairman, of Purok 1, Brgy. Tabiawan, Isabela City. (Drug Surrenderee / Pusher/HVI of BPPO PROBARMM) up to present/SLI; Ruben Quijano Cuevas, 38 years old, married, of Brgy. Balagtasan, Lamitan City Basilan (pusher/SLI) and Marphy Elemia Tubil, 38 years old, married, of Brgy. Baluno, Isabela City (pusher/SLI), were arrested by operatives of Isabela City Police Station in a drug buy operation at Purok 1, Brgy. Tabiawan, Isabela City, Basilan at about 8:15 PM of August 23, 2020. Confiscated during the operation were five (5) sachets of suspected shabu with DDB value ₱ 13,600 with an estimated weight of 2 grams, one (1) homemade Caliber 22 rifle, one (1) Cal. 45 Llama with 3 live ammunitions, one (1) small black pouch and ₱ 500.00 marked money. Arrested suspects and the confiscated items were brought to Isabela City Police Station for proper disposition and filling of case for violation of RA 9165.
Sitti Laima Ambutong, 18 years old, female, was arrested by Zamboanga City Police Station 2 in a drug buy bust operation at Phase 1, Valle Vista, Brgy. Kasanyangan, Zamboanga City at about 9:50 PM of August 23, 2020. Confiscation from the suspects were two (2) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of ₱ 1,500.00 and weighs more or less 0.002 gram and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. He is now under the custody of said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court.
Shiela Gaco Anthony, 27 years old, female, was arrested by operatives of Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) in a drug buy bust operation at Purok Ilang-Ilang, Brgy. Lower Taway, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 7:15 PM, August 23, 2020. Confiscated from the suspect were four (4) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of more or less 0.224 grams with DDB value of ₱ 2,000.00 and ₱ 500.00 marked money. He is now under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.
Michael Hussin y Labor, 39 years old, male, construction laborer, was arrested by Zamboanga City Police Station 9 in a drug buy bust operation at Gemelina Drive, Margarita, Brgy. San Roque in Zamboanga City at about 5:30 PM of August 23, 2020. Seized from the suspect were Nine (9) sachets of suspected shabu with estimated DDB value of ₱ 2,500.00 weighing 0.3 grams and Two (2) pcs. of ₱ 100.00 registered marked money. He is presently under the custody of said police station for proper disposition.
