The Philippine Genome Center through the Department of Health Regional Office confirmed 5 new cases of the highly contagious Delta variant in Zamboanga City, per results released on August 28, 2021 bringing the total count of cases to 6.
A total of 804 samples were sent for genome sequencing since March of this year.
