5 Additional Confirmed COVID -19 Cases As Of 01:00 PM, October 28, 2020

1. ZDS 309 – A 30 y.o male, a government employee from P. Aguinaldo, Sto. Nino, Pagadian City. With history of exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 positive case.  Manifested colds on October 20, 2020. Naso/oropharyngeal swab taken last October 20, 2020. Result came in today that yields Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently placed at the Covid isolation unit. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
2. ZDS 310 – A 52 y.o male, a government employee from Purok Upo-I, Balintawak, Pagadian City. With no history of travel to areas with known Covid19 transmission or exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 positive case.  Manifested fever on October 17, 2020. Naso/oropharyngeal swab taken last October 20, 2020. Result came in today that yields Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently placed at the Covid isolation unit. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
3. ZDS 311 – A 23 y.o female, a government employee from Purok Kawayan, Balangasan, Pagadian City. With history of exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 positive case.  Manifested cough on October 13, 2020. Naso/oropharyngeal swab taken last October 20, 2020. Result came in today that yields Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently placed at the Covid isolation unit. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
4. ZDS 312 – A 60 y.o male, a government employee, from Happy Valley, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur. With history of exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 positive case. Manifested colds on October 12, 2020. Naso/oropharyngeal swab taken last October 20, 2020. Result came in today that yields Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently placed at the Covid isolation unit. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
5. ZDS 313 – An 53 y.o male, a government employee from P. Tugas, Balangasan, Pagadian City. Travelled from Pasay City, Manila arrived last October 7, 2020. Manifested cough, loss of taste and loss of smell that started on October 25, 2020. Naso/oropharyngeal swab taken last October 27, 2020. Result came in today that yields Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently placed at the Covid isolation unit. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.

The general public is strongly reminded to continue to practice basic health protocols (wearing of mask and face shield, frequent handwashing and physical distancing in public places. Avoid unnecessary travels to areas/places with cases of local transmission within the bounds of Zamboanga del Sur or outside of the Province.
