44 Counts Rape Suspect Falls After Years Of Committing Gruesome Act

    Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City –  Police Regional Office 13 continuous manhunt operations to wanted criminals resulted to the arrest of a high value target involved with 44 counts of rape today, May 29.

    Police Regional Office 13 Regional Director Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT JR. revealed that the operation conducted by Cabadbaran City Police Station on the campaign against Most Wanted Person prompted in the arrest of City’s most wanted person alias Angelita, 47 years old, female, single, jobless, and a resident of P-3, Barangay Calibunan, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

    Authorities apprehended Angelita by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 34, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte for the crime of R.A 7610 Article 266-A “Rape” of Revised Penal Code under Criminal Case Numbers CR-2021-16 to CR- 2021-59 with a total of Php5,280,000 recommended bail bond having Php120,000 per criminal case.

    Investigation revealed that Angelita sexually assaulted a female minor repeatedly around 8:00 PM-9:00 PM from the month July 2017 (11 times) and the suspect remorselessly continued her crimes several days from August 2017 until March 2020.

    Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT JR., PRO 13 Regional Director said this type of violence has no space in Caraga, where everyone deserves to live in a free-crime region.

    The success of the manhunt operations is attributed to the intensified anti-criminality campaign of PRO13 and the strong partnership among the police, the community and other stakeholders. He encourages the public to continue their support to the Caraga Police to strengthen the peace and security in the community.
