Four Hundred Thirty Nine employees of Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) were vaccinated with Sinovac for its Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination program which started last Friday.
Dr. Shadrina Tahil – Sarapuddin, ZCMC Spokesperson said, Friday they vaccinated ten, Saturday 133, Sunday 151, and Monday 145.
Those vaccinated includes: doctors, nurses, and other hospital workers.
Of these numbers, they reported one male doctor who experienced mild adverse events following immunization. He experienced fever and itchiness.
According to Sarapuddin, the said doctor is now ok.
Today they are expecting 369 to be vaccinated. They are eyeing to finish the vaccination for Sinovac tomorrow.
They will also prepare for the rollout of Astrazeneca for those senior citizens employees and those who cannot be vaccinated with Sinovac.
For ZCMC, they are targeting to vaccinate 1,500 of their health personnels.
Covid -19 vaccination will start from the medical frontliners as they are exposed to the virus and taking care of Covid 19 patients. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
