4 New Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19 As Of 4:00 PM, January 6, 2021

1 Positive Case For Antigen Test And Considered As Confirmatory Based On DOH Guidelines

  1. ZDS 1124 – A 26 y.o. male, government employee, from Purok Dahlia, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. With history of travel/exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case. Asymptomatic. Rapid Antigen Test taken last, January 5, 2021. Result: Positive and declared as COVID-19 Confirmed Positive. Currently isolated in a Covid Isolation Unit of a Government Hospital since January 5, 2020. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.

    3 New Confirmed COVID – 19 Case
    Specimens Were Examined From Zamboanga Del Sur Molecular Laboratory

  2. ZDS 1125 – A 30 y.o. male, government employee, from 1st Inf. Div., Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. Without history of travel/exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case. Asymptomatic. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last January 4, 2021. Result: Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently admitted in a Covid Isolation Unit of a Government Hospital since January 4, 2021. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
  3. ZDS 1126 – A 34 y.o. female, from Purok 6, Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. Without history of travel/exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case. Asymptomatic. Rapid Antigen Test Result: Positive. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last January 3, 2021. Result: Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently admitted in a Covid Isolation Unit of a Private Hospital since December 31, 2020. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
  4. ZDS 1127 – A 58 y.o. female, from Purok 1, Damit, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. Without history of travel/exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case. Asymptomatic. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last January 3, 2021. Result: Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently admitted in a Covid Isolation Unit of a Government Hospital since December 19, 2020. Discharged today.
The general public is strongly reminded to continue to practice basic health protocols (wearing of mask and face shield, frequent hand washing and physical distancing in public places. Avoid unnecessary travels to areas/places with cases of local transmission within the bounds of Zamboanga Del Sur or outside of the Province.
