Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force for Covid-19 of Zamboanga del Norte posted in their Facebook page this afternoon an update announcing that 3 government employees in a national agency has been tested positive for Covid-19.
The post is as follows:
OCTOBER 1, 2020 – 1402H
We would like to inform everyone that there are three (3) new POSITIVE cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Province.
Information on the New Positive Cases:
Patient 055-Â a 51 years old male from Dipolog City with no history of travel.
Patient 056 – a 39 years old male from Dapitan City with no history of travel.
Patient 057 – a 55 years old male from Dapitan City with no history of travel.
These patients are government employees working in the same agency. They were swabbed yesterday, September 30, 2020, as part of their agency’s protocol and at the agency’s expense. Unfortunately, as results came in today, their RT-PCR results yielded positive.
Patients are asymptomatic and are now isolated. Contact tracing is already being conducted.
The said agency will be closed temporarily for the next 14 days and for disinfection.
After they have posted this, it has been flooded with comments asking what national agency is this to raise awareness and additional precautions for the community.
Later, GSIS Dipolog General Manager Leoncito Manuel issued an official statement about the office’s security guards who have been tested positive for Covid-19.
Contact tracing is still on-going while the 3 security guards are already in isolation.
GSIS Dipolog is temporarily closed to the public from October 1 to 14, 2020 to ensure the health and safety of everyone, while all of the employees will be working from home.
