Mayor Rex C. Oliva, together with Acting City Agriculturist Argay Ramirez and SP Member Dandreb Abonite led the distribution of first batch of fertilizer discount vouchers to Iriga farmers yesterday at Iriga City ICT Building.
Over PHP3.7 million worth of vouchers were distributed to 1,252 rice farmers, covering 21 beneficiaries barangays of the City.
Under the program, each of the beneficiaries can avail of PHP4,000 fertilizer vouchers per hectare of land. The farmers must be listed in the DA’s Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture to avail of the program. There are 1,342 vouchers distributed to the farmers.
