Two hundred eighteen individuals have availed the Social Security System (SSS) unemployment benefits especially during this time of Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) for SSS Western Mindanao.
Napoleon Rabanal II, SSS Mindanao West Division, Senior Communications Analyst told RPN DXXX Zamboanga, there were 218 approved online applications filed from June 22 to July 06, 2020 amounting to P2,959,590.85.
Out of the 218 members, 217 applications were paid thru their savings account or bank, while one was paid thru UMID Card as ATM.
Maximum that can be availed by the member is P20,000 depending on their contribution.
SSS unemployment benefit can be availed by those who lose their jobs especially this time of pandemic, affected by disaster, and others. They must have 36 months contribution, and have not applied for unemployment benefit for the last three years.
To apply, they must first make their my.sss.account or visit the SSS website at www.sss.gov.ph. SSS Mindanao West Division has branches in Zamboanga City, Basilan, Jolo, Ipil, Pagadian, and Dipolog. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
