2 Robbery Suspects Fall In Surigao Del Norte

Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – Two wanted persons charged with robbery in uninhabited place or in a private building have been placed under the custody of Claver Municipal Police Station (MPS) following their arrest today, (May 20) in Brgy. Taganito, Claver, Surigao del Norte.

POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR., Police Regional Office (PRO)13 Director said that combined elements of Claver MPS and Intelligence Unit of Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office nabbed Ryan V. Asagra, 29 years old, and Noel Y. Tabamo Jr., 24 years old, inside their residence.

The operation stemmed from the warrant of arrest issued by the 10th Judicial Region, Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Claver-Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte under criminal case no. 2021-13 with bail bond fixed at Php24,000.00 each.

According to investigation report, both forcibly entered the barracks owned by Victorino C. Santos and carted away construction materials worth Php35, 000.00 in Brgy. Taganito, Claver town on March 27, 2020.

“I commend the police officers for keeping an extra mile in hauling to jail these wanted persons. As long as we devote our efforts together in keeping our communities safe and peaceful, we will never falter in our quest,” RD CARAMAT, JR. stressed out.

Article 302 of the Revised Penal Code provides penalties and circumstances that constitute the act of robbery in an uninhabited place or in a private building. (PMaj. Dorothy M. Tumulak)
