2 Of 4 Inmates In Roxas MPS Jailbreak Back Behind Bars

Camp Col Romeo A Abendan, Zamboanga City – Two of the four inmates who bolted the detention facility of the Roxas Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Zamboanga del Norte are now back in prison as of 7:30 PM, August 20, 2020.

PBGEN. Jesus D. Cambay, Jr., PRO9 Regional Director identified those who surrendered to the Roxas Municipal Police Station as Wilfredo Antiquina Espelita, who surrendered by his brother at 1:30 PM, August 20, 2020  and Roger Barillo Feras, who surrendered by his sister at about 7:30 PM, August 20, 2020.

The Regional Director commended the immediate family of Wilfredo A Espelita 19 years old, charged for Violation of RA 9165 and Roger Barillo Feras, charged for Attempted Homicide for responding to our call to surrender the escapees.

Meanwhile, police units under Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office are not letting down their pursuit operations against the other escapees identified as Welly C. Catoy, 23 years old, accused of Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunitions with Criminal Case No. 23913 and Robert Quinicar Quinto, 46 years old, charged for RA 10591, who still remain at large as of this time.

“Again, we urge their immediate family and relatives to surrender them to the nearest police station so as not to aggravate the situation for after all, they are still considered innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court” PBGEN.
