Two unidentified communist terrorists were killed in an encounter with the Philippine Army this morning at Sitio Tinago, Brgy. Baleguian, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte.
The incident reported by Agusan del Norte PNP that around 7:00 AM of December 27, 2020, one platoon of the 29th Infantry Battalion led by 2nd Lieutenant Lucero while on strike operation encountered more or less 15 Communist Terrorists Group believed to be members of Sandatahang Yunit Pampropaganda 16A, Guerilla Front 16, NEMRC under the leadership of alyas Gab at Grid Coordinates 51P YL 81306 34777, Sitio Tinago, Brgy. Baleguian, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte.
Firefight is still ongoing according to PNP report received by RPN DXKS. Personnel of Jabonga Municipal Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Ramon Atenta immediately conducted intensified intelligence monitoring in the area of incident and checkpoint operation particularly at entrance/exit point of National Highway, Brgy.
