₱1.02 Million Worth Of Shabu Seized In Mampang

    Police operatives and anti narcotic agents of the PNP Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9 confiscated ₱ 1.02 million worth of suspected shabu from the mother of two escaped drug suspected earlier nabbed in drug buy bust operations.

    Police Capt. Edwin Duco, Regional Police spokesman claimed, police operatives went to the residence of the two escaped drug personalities in Mampang during a follow up operation when the mother of the suspects were seen giving her sling bag to her daughter in law which contained illegal drugs.

    Recalled early morning of May 6, 2021 regional drug enforcement unit busted brothers Jonar Jul-Asri and Moner Jul-Asri in a drug operation but later “rescued” by a gunman shooting and wounding the suspects escorts in the vicinity of a government hospital.

    Investigation disclosed that upon arrival at the residence of the suspects, at Locson II, Barangay Mampang,  Armida Jul-Asri, the mother of the two suspects, was anxious and upon asking her the whereabouts of his two (2) sons, Armida gave her sling bag to her daughter in-law Zarmida Rajan. The team asked her to open her sling bag and upon verification it contains sachets of suspected Shabu.

    Immediately, members of RDEU9 arrested the suspects and confiscated three (3) sachets of suspected Shabu with estimated value of ₱ 1,020,000.00 pesos with a weight of 150 grams.

    They are presently under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 11 for filling of appropriate charges in court. (PRO9 Public Information Office)
