Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) have conducted a dry run for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination on ZCMC health workers Friday inside the hospital premises.
Dr. Shadrina Tahil – Sarapuddin, ZCMC Spokesperson said, this is in preparation for the vaccination simulation to be conducted together with the Department of Health (DOH) to be scheduled soon.
There were 50 who participated during the mentioned activity. They were able to vaccinate 12 health personnels in ten minutes.
During the vaccination process, the health worker will sign and fill out some papers, they will be asked if how they are feeling, then the vaccination proper.
They were practicing for the vaccine Astra Zeneca as there are guidelines from the DOH how to use this vaccine.
The spokesperson said, they are targeting to vaccinate 1,500 of their health personnels.
ZCMC also have teams in place such as the vaccination team, Adverse Event Following Immunization, cold chain, driver, and waste disposal team.
Covid -19 vaccination will start from the medical frontliners as they are exposed to the virus and taking care of Covid 19 patients. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
