To support and complement the City Government’s efforts, volunteers from the Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga Chapter were deployed to the CCC Freedom Park in Abong-abong in Upper Pasonanca during the Holy Week.
This formed part of the Oplan Semana Santa 2024 that the City Government and the security sector implemented through the directive of Mayor John Dalipe.
The Red Cross EMS team, composed of 55 volunteers helped provide medical and first aid treatment to devotees who experienced health issues, in collaboration with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office response teams.
