Thousands of People from different parts of the Zamboanga Peninsula gathered to show their support towards Presidential Candidate, VP Leny Robredo, Vice-Presidential Candidate Kiko Pangilinan and their entire team at their Layag Leni Grand People’s Rally; on March 17, 2022 at Cesar Climaco Freedom Park, Abong-Abong, Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. The venue was named after the former slained mayor of the the aforementioned place, who was also known for his antagonism towards the Marcos regime.
The said group’s sanatorial slate includes Teddy Baguila, Leila De Lima (has been represented by ATTY. DINO DE LEON) Chel Diokno, Risa Hontiveros, Alex Lacson, Sonny Matula, Aw Antonio Trillane (has been represented by by Atty. Manuel Kabocha). Each one gave their message and thanked everyone who attended and those who continue to voluntarily aid their party during this campaign period. All were advocating for clean, transparent and good governance. A number of artists entertained the crowd with music and encouraged the people to really go out and cast their votes wisely, on May 9, 2022 .
Vice President Leni Robredo said that they only have one dream for the Republic of the Philippines, that is to have an honest and humane government wherein everybody’s included and given importance. The kind of administration that will cross the ocean just to be able to help its constituents, “kaya aangat ang buhay ng lahat” she said.
According to the Fb page of One Zamboanga, the livestream on the Team Leni Robredo Zamboanga City page reached about 25,000 views during VP Robredo’s speech.
