The local government of Zamboanga through its Risk Communications Team under the Zamboanga Task Force Coronavirus Disease 2019 (TFCOVID-19) launched its “Tiene Cuidao” or Take Care (TC) campaign yesterday, Friday.

Sheila Covarrubias, city government information officer told RPN DXXX Zamboanga, this is an information drive against COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign highlights minimum health standards and personal responsibility in protecting self, community and city from COVID-19.

In Zamboanga City, when we say tiene cuidao, it is an expression of love and affection. This means I  am telling you that I care for you, that I am thinking of you, that I am waiting for your return, happy and safe.

At this time of COVID-19, tiene cuidao applies to the new normal where everything we do for ourselves and for others must be done with utmost care. Because I protect you and you protect me.

This was already spread through the social media account of the City government they will also install it in tarpaulins, distribute fliers, use LED and place infomercials in tri-media.

The city government is reminding everyone to protect yourself the best way you can. Stay home, if possible, but if you need to go out, then: Wear your face mask properly, Wash your hands often with soap and water, or with alcohol, and Stay at least one meter apart from others

“These are simple steps but they are very important because they protect you, your family, our community, and our city. If everyone is taking care, we can beat COVID together.” Covarrubias said. (R.G. Antonet A. Go, photo courtesy by City Government of Zamboanga)
