Department of Labor and Employment-9 Regional Director Albert E. Gutib together with Mayor John M. Dalipe, First District Representative Cong. Khymer Olaso, Regional Coordinating Committee members, other partners lead the payout for 2,253 benefiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) and distribution of other government assistance, highlighting the 122nd Labor Day celebration held at the KCC Mall de Zamboanga in Gov. Camins Wednesday, May 1.

The activity was only one of the numerous events organized by DOLE-9 to honor and celebrate the contributions of workers to the society.

TUPAD is a “community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days depending on the nature of work to be performed.”

Other activities during the Labor Day celebration at the KCC Mall were Job Fair,

One-stop_Shop services, medical mission, servicio para de obreros, talentadong obrero, Kadiwa ng Pangulo and simultaneous MOA signing among others.
