We regret to inform you that Zamboanga del Sur recorded a new confirmed COVID-19 case today bringing the total number of positive cases to 44 and ACTIVE CASES to 7.
?ZDS44- A 2 year old male, LSI from Purok Matinabangon, Ignacio Garatta, Dinas, ZDS. Arrived from Pasig City via Cebu Pacific, flight # 5J771 last July 21, 2020. RDT result: Non- reactive, asymptomatic and is placed under strict home quarantine. On July 27, 2020, one of the members of the family who also boarded the same plane tested positive for the confirmatory test, thus, naso/ oropharyngeal swab was performed since he also exhibits symptoms and was transferred to the Municipal Isolation Unit until today for close monitoring. Currently, on day 13 of quarantine since swab was performed; day 19 since arriving from Pasig City and is asymptomatic.
