Zamboanga: City releases cash aid to Calarian fire-hit families

The City Government under the leadership of Mayor John Dalipe on Saturday, June 29 distributed financial assistance to families who were displaced by fire that hit Camacop Village in Calarian last November.

Facilitated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the distribution rites was held at the Calarian covered court and was spearheaded by Executive Assistant Edna Sumergido and CSWDO staff.

The cash assistance forms part of the city’s amelioration program for victims of calamities and disasters.

The amount distributed, varied depending on the severity of the damage to houses or structures, based on a resolution of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC). Families whose houses were totally damaged received P5K each, those with partially damaged houses got P3K each while sharers and boarders received P1, 500 each.
