Mayor John Dalipe has ordered concerned city departments to extend full assistance to the families displaced by the fire in De Leon Compound, Barangay Zone IV shortly before 11 AM, Friday, March 31.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office has distributed immediate relief assistance, as it conducts validation and assessment of the affected families.
At least 23 families with 94 individuals were displaced due to the fire incident that hit 22 houses/ structures at
No casualties were reported but several people obtained minor injuries.
Of the total 22 houses affected by the conflagration, 16 were totally damaged while 6 were partially damaged.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has dispatched fire trucks, water tankers and ambulances to the fire scene to augment the resources of the Bureau of Fire Protection and other volunteer groups.
