ZAMBOANGA: CITY LAUDS TOP 5 EARLY BOSS REGISTRANTS

Mayor Khymer Olaso commends the five local establishments for being the first to complete business registration and payment at the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), setting an example for timely compliance with city’s annual renewal requirements.

Their permits were officially released last January 5, 2026, making them among the very first to settle registration and fees this year. Mayor Olaso recognized their prompt action during the flag-raising ceremony, held at the City Hall grounds Monday morning, February 16.

“Este el cinco bilog ta llama kita business permit [na] una-una yo ya pirma. As a first termer city mayor, una-una [yo] ya pirma el Enero 26. Congratulations con ustedes,” the mayor said, praising the owners for leading by example in the local business community.

The recognized business establishments were Rosvi Store of Vitali, owned by Rosemarie Delos Reyes; Stylin Chix of Labuan, owned by Sheryl Bernardo; Omo’s Store of Guiwan, owned by Anelia Omo; Aaron Greek Sari-Sari Store of Ayala, owned by Grace Pamat; and Dela Calzada Store of Mangusu, owned by Romel Dela Calzada.

Olaso likewise urged other entrepreneurs to follow their lead, noting that timely registration ensures uninterrupted operations, supports city revenue and strengthens the local economy. (Arvin Midel) ( photo credits: Kathy Wee Sit)
