Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City – Dr. Arsalan Diamaoden, Chairperson of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Sports Commission, visited the Western Mindanao Command on February 3, 2023. Col. Wendell Basat, the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Civil-Military Operations, received the distinguished visitor at the Laong Laan Hall of the command located at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city.
The two officials talked about establishing a good partnership between the two institutions, using sports as a tool for preventing and countering violent extremism and creating opportunities for potential development-minded leaders of BARMM.
The Bangsamoro Sports Commission (BSC) is a newly created commission responsible for policy-making. It serves as the coordinating office of all amateur sports development programs and institutions in the BARMM.
