The Department of Labor and Employment-9 spearheaded the payout for TUPAD salaries of some 2,618 beneficiaries from different barangays in the city in rites held at the ZPPSU gymnasium in Baliwasan, Thursday, May 9 during the first day of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair.
DOLE-9 Regional Director Albert Gutib together with House Majority Leader and 2nd Congressional District Representative Mannix Dalipe, 1st Congressional District Representative Khymer Adan Olaso and City Mayor John Dalipe, led the distribution ceremony in line with the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program which provides emergency employment for displaced workers and other vulnerable workers.
Also present were ZPPSU President Nelson P. Cabral, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) National President Carol Julianne Dalipe and other officials.
The DOLE-9 is conducting the TUPAD payout and orientation from May 9-11 in various sites as part of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, which aims to bring all government projects and programs and all other essential programs and services.
The Thursday payout was under the co-partnership of Barangay Talon-Talon.
