Zamboanga City – At least eight travelers to Zamboanga City have been arrested for presenting fake RT-PCR test results over the last two weeks of September, according to the City Tourism Office.
Tourism Supervising Officer Sarita Sebastian told the virtual presser Tuesday that four of those arrested were employees of the Bangsamoro Transitional Authority Parliament. They came from Jolo, Sulu and arrived here Monday, Sept. 27.
From Sept 20-26, four other boat passengers were arrested: 1 from Lamitan City, 2 from Jolo and 2 others from Bongao.
Those arrested were part of the total 247,130 people who traveled to or passed by Zamboanga City as of Sept. 28.
Of the total travelers, 64,433 were returning residents of Zamboanga and 8,751 were returning overseas workers. Authorized Persons Outside Residence or APORs totaled 173,946. (Vic Larato)
