MIKEY WILLIAMS was blazing and scoring anew to lead TNT Tropang Giga to a 105-93 victory over Magnolia in Game 2 of the best-of-seven finals of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup on Friday at the Don Honorio Ventura State University gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.

A few day after scoring 21 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out five assists in Game 1, the fourth overall pick in this year’s rookie draft fired 28 points, highlighted by five triples, nine rebounds and six assists to help the Hotshots get a 2-0 lead in the series.

Jayson Castro scattered 16 points while Troy Rosario added 12 points and Brian Heruela had 11 points and veteran Ryan Reyes contributed 10 points also for TNT.

JP Erram was the center of TNT’s defensive frontline who collected 12 rebounds and swatted four enemy attempts on top of six points.

TNT recorded the second all-time most number of three-points made in the finals with 17 — just a triple away of tying the all-time most number of treys set (18) by San Miguel Beer in the 2019 Commissioner’s Cup championship round in Game 2 against TNT.

It was another tough night for Magnolia after losing Game 1 (70-88) as it yielded to a 21-deficit before losing anew.

Ian Sangalang bounced back from a five-point showing in Game 1 because of a ‘bad back’ by pouring in 25 points.
