Vehicular accident transpired at Purok 2, Brgy. Betinan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at about 7:30 PM of August 22, 2020, involving single motorcycle Honda Wave 100, without plate number, driven by Julhani Udtog Singo, 36 years old, male, married, Construction worker with his back rider Reynaldo Camadote Arcala, 37 years old, male, married, Construction worker, both resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Bagong Oroquita Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur and Isuzu Elf Truck, bearing plate number MAL 6770, driven by Jhan Louie Estrada Oclaret, 23 years old, single, Driver, and resident of Purok Madasigon Brgy. Buenavista, Pagadian City.
Investigation disclosed that the single motorcycle was travelling from Municipality of Lapuyan bound towards Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur and upon reaching at the place of incident the single motorcycle allegedly overtook to a tricycle when at instant the driver loose his control and eventually threw to the cemented road and was overran by Isuzu Elf who was travelling at the same direction. As a result, The back rider of the single motorcycle was died on the spot and was taken by St. Peter Funeral, Poblacion, San Miguel while the driver of the single motorcycle sustained serious injury in the different parts of his body and was immediately rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment while the driver and the Isuzu Elf truck was brought to San Miguel Municipal Police Station (MPS) for proper disposition.
PNP personnel of San Miguel MPS now conducting follow up investigation relative to the incident.
