Dinagat Islands has 3 new confirmed cases: 2 of them are active, while 1 passed away.

Among the 3, San Jose has 1 active case (moderate symptoms) and 1 deceased case. The remaining case (asymptomatic) is a returning resident of Libjo.
The Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIATF) expresses its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
The Provincial Care and Containment Center (PCCC) also reported the recovery of 27 COVID-19 cases:
  • 21 from San Jose
  • 4 from Cagdianao
  • 1 from Basilisa
  • 1 from Dinagat

With this development, we now have 151 active cases, 9 deceased cases, and 343 recovered cases. The number of total cases since August 2020 is now at 503.
We continue to ask everyone to observe our health and safety protocols. COVID-19 is a real disease. Denying its existence is dangerous for you and the people around you. Always wear face masks especially in public and practice social distancing. Attending mass gatherings such as a fiestas and parties and traveling to areas outside the province places you at risk of infection, which also puts your family members in potential danger. COVID-19 prevention begins with ourselves and in our households.
Let us support each other in this fight. Our communities are our frontlines against this pandemic and its effects to our everyday lives.
