Delta Variant Case 4: A 32-year-old female from Brgy. Estaka, Dipolog City who developed cough last August 04, 2021. Specimen for RT-PCR was collected on August 12, 2021 which yielded positive result. Patient was isolated in one of the BIUs in Dipolog City and was eventually transferred to Polanco TTMF for continued isolation. She was tagged recovered on August 19, 2021.
Delta Variant Case 5: A 72-year-old male from Brgy. Disud, Sindangan who developed cough and colds last August 08, 2021. Specimen for RT-PCR was collected on August 12, 2021 which yielded positive result. Patient was isolated in facility quarantine and was tagged recovered on August 23, 2021.
The two individuals tested positive with the Delta Variant as released by the latest batch of the Whole Genome Sequencing from the University of the Philippines – Philippine Genome Center dated September 13, 2021.
All 1st to 3rd degree contacts were traced, identified, and isolated.
