Combined operatives of Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office – Intel Unit led by PMAJ. Oscar T. Buenaobra, 902nd RMFB9, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Division 9 and PDEA conducted joint law enforcement operation against wanted person at Purok Lakturan (Boulevard), Brgy. San Pedro District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at 8:15 PM of December 24, 2020.
PBGEN. Ronaldo Genaro E. Ylagan, PRO9 Regional Director said the operation resulted in the arrest of Abdulsalim Modapil Mangungaya A.K.A “Dondon Sanday/Duterte”, 34 years old, male, fisherman, married, Elementary level, and a resident at Purok Dama de Noche, Sitio Luguimit, Brgy. Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur, Top-1 Priority Target on Illegal Drugs of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Member of Pating Drug Group of PDEA.
He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder, docketed under criminal case No. 17-161, issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated August 16, 2019 with no recommended bail bond; violation of Sec. 5 Art. II of R.A 9165, docketed under criminal case No. 18-066, issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated July 10, 2018 with no recommended bail bond; and violation of sec. 11, ART. II of R.A 9165, docketed under Criminal Case No. 18-067, issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated July 10, 2018 with a recommended bail bond of ₱ 200,000.00.
Said accused was arrested Last July 5, 2018 for the Violation of Sec. 5 and 11 of R.A. 9165 and Service of Warrant for the crime of Murder as stated above and was able to escape at Margosatubig MPS temporary Lock-up Cell last July 8, 2018 at around 2:00 AM. He is now under the temporary custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.
