Drug enforcement unit of La Libertad Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by PLT. Miguel I. Cohena Jr. conducted drug buy-bust operation at Purok 6, Brgy. Poblacion, La Libertad, Zamboanga del Norte at 7:30 PM of December 24, 2020.
PBGEN Ronaldo Genaro E Ylagan, PRO9 Regional Director said the operation resulted in the arrest of Marnel Sagayan Ganes, 28 years old, male, single, 3rd year high school, construction worker and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Singaran, La Libertad, Zamboanga del Norte.
Confiscated items during the operation were three sachets of suspected dried leaves of marijuana with estimated street value of ₱ 1,500.00 weighing more or less 0.05 grams, one-piece of cigarette pack used as container and one piece of ₱ 500.00 bill as marked money.
Confiscated items during the operation were brought to Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Crime Lab Office for laboratory examination, while arrested suspect is now under the temporary custody of La Libertad MPS for proper disposition.
