Tabak Facilitates COVID Vaccine To Army Troops Camp Sang-An, Zamboanga Del Sur

Pagadian City –  The 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division in coordination with the Local Government Units and Provincial Health Workers facilitates the Ceremonial of Symbolic Covid-19 Vaccination to the army troops here, Thursday, March 11,2021. Three Station Hospital Chiefs were inoculated with the vaccine namely Lt. Col. Jussel F. Parlan, Commanding Officer of Station Hospital; Lt. Col. Romulo R. Ajuero, Commanding Officer of Dental Detachment; and Maj. Lorelyn B Cabute, the Chief Nurse of the hospital.

Dr. Agnes E. Fernando MN, MPA, Provincial Health Team Leader of PDOHO, Zamboanga del Sur, the keynote speaker during the Symbolic Vaccination Ceremony expressed her appreciation to the cooperation of the army personnel and guaranteed that the health workers are well trained.

“The Department of Health really have a prioritization of whom we are going to give the vaccine. It is always be the provincial hospital, and the hospitals who are admitting a Covid-19 patients.” Dr. Fernando said.

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Generoso “Gene” Ponio, Commander, 1ID, PA expressed his appreciation to the leaders of camp’s station hospital, DOH and Healthcare workers for their efforts in mitigating the Covid-19 disease. “The troops in Luzon and Visayas were already vaccinated. We are just starting in Mindanao. We are not neglected by the government, everyone will get a vaccine but it depends on the DOH because they still need to prioritize those individuals who receive the vaccine, especially the frontliners who are greatly exposed from the virus.” Maj. Gen. Ponio said.

Maj. Gen. Ponio ended his message encouraging the public to be vaccinated and trust the IATF as well as the DOH so that the country will heal as one.

The activity will end on Friday were 70 personnel of the station hospital here will be vaccinated.

On the other hand, Covid19 Vaccine for TABAK troopers arrived in Zamboanga del Sur. Six hundred doses of Covid19 Vaccine (SINOVAC) arrived in Pagadian Airport, Zamboanga del Sur, yesterday, March 14, 2021.

These doses can accommodate 300 personnel of the 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division.

In order of priority, the healthcare workers will be inoculated first followed by the personnel inside post.  The vaccines were brought and temporarily stored in Labangan RHU.
