Surigao: Stepped-up Anti-Criminality Operations net 84 individuals with 8 FAs seized


Surigao del Norte (SDN) – strengthened Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) in the province net a total of 84 individuals for various crimes and confiscation of eight loose firearms, November 27, 2021.

Police Colonel Noel C Espinoza, Provincial Director (PD) of Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office reported that operatives arrested 11 Most Wanted Persons (MWP), 18 other Wanted Persons, seven for possession of Loose Firearms, six for having engaged in Illegal Drugs, 33 in Illegal Fishing, eight in Illegal Gambling and one in Illegal Logging.

On the Campaign against Wanted Persons, Warrants of Arrest implemented subsequently led to the arrest of 11 Most Wanted Persons composed of three for Regional Level, one Provincial Level, one City Level and six Municipal Level, while 18 other wanted persons were also arrested.

On the Campaign against Loose Firearms, eight firearms with several ammunition were confiscated while 17 other firearms (pistol, rifle, shotgun), hand grenade and ammunition were also surrendered to authorities.

On anti-illegal drugs operation, operatives confiscated 25.852 grams of shabu with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php170, 494.20 and 0.8 grams of Marijuana with SDP of Php800.00 were confiscated.

On illegal fishing, 86 kilograms of fish in different species amounting to Php15,310.00 were confiscated.

On illegal gambling, P840.00 amount of bet money was confiscated from individuals who were caught playing billiards and playing cards.

On illegal logging, a total volume of 515 board feet of lumber with estimated market value of Php17,136.00 was confiscated.

PD Espinoza commended PNP personnel for their diligent efforts that led to the successful conduct of SACLEO in the province. The Police force and community will continue to work in harmony to curb illegal activities and criminalities to sustain the peace for all Surigaonons. Good job SDNPPO!
