The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles through Surigao City Adventure Eagles Club once again conducted a Community Service at Charisma Bethel Children’s Home – Brgy. Serna, Surigao City.
The activity led by Surigao City Adventure Eagles Club (SCAEC) supportive Kuya President Roberto “Jun” Parada Jr. under the Caraga Region III governed by Kuya Governor Allan B. Japor with the theme FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM & DISTRIBUTIONS OF HYGIENIC KITS. Indeed true happiness and joy comes from giving. Eaglism is being defined by uplifting others who are in need. Being able to help is a privilege for every Kuya and Ate… and helping displays the understanding of the spirit of compassion and genuine service.
The activity was part of a series of activities organized by Surigao City Adventure Eagles Club for its incoming 1st Anniversary on May 28, 2022 as a way of giving thanks to the Almighty Father for His goodness to the club and the fraternity throughout these years.
This simple activity was initiated with the Kuya in the banking sector and entrepreneurs (businessman). The activity started with a prayer, discussions of financial literacy by Kuya Jose Deodoro Geraldino, PNB and graced by Master of Ceremony Kuya Charlito Arquion, LBP. Kuya and Ate shared laughter with indoor games and highlighted the “heart to heart” talking with the orphans of Bethel Charisma Children’s Home. It is heart-quenching to listen about the struggles and trials of every orphan, who, in their young age must overcome all these trials. Being there, and listening for every cry and story of these little ones reminded each and every Eagles present that we must be very thankful for every blessing that we have and that these must be shared to others – little things may not matter to us but for others like these fragile orphans it means Life and Everything, not just by tangible things given to them but the encouraging words of every Kuya planted in the their hearts – not to give up and continue the fight for God sees everything and he listens to every prayer, that everything on this earth is just temporary.
The activity started at 9:00am and ended at 11:15am in the morning.
