Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – After days of in-depth investigation related to the three shooting incidents in the cities of Butuan and Bislig, and the Municipality of Trento, authorities have now identified suspects now charged with murder.
Since PRO13 Regional Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR has outspoken vow to embark on a stricter campaign against individuals who committed heinous crimes, Caraga police have double the efforts to apprehend them, lawbreakers, particularly identifying murder suspects for filing of cases.
In the murder of Tereso Abelarde Linaza alias Puloy, 37 years old laborer with a live-in partner, was shot to death by an unidentified individual while sleeping in residence at Dampingan, Brgy. Tabon, Bislig City on May 1, 2022.
Bislig City Police Station (BCPS) has now identified the murder suspect alias Jan-Jan, legal age, and a resident of Brgy. Kinablangan, Davao Oriental, was immediately referred to the City Prosecution Office before the Bislig City, with docket numbers NPS# XIII-04-INV-22E-00092 and NPS# XIII-04-INV-22E-00093.
Investigation disclosed that alias Jan-Jan was also the perpetrator in the killing of the above-said victim’s brother Rolly Abelarde Linaza, 42, married, who was killed on November 28, 2021.
Moreover, married couple Abraham Licaros Teopis, 62, and Flora Rayas Teopis, 64, both farmers, were found dead, shot in the secluded mountainous area of Purok Chicago, Brgy. Sta. Maria, Trento, Agusan del Norte on May 17, 2022.
Citing reports from Trento Municipal Police Station, the suspect has been identified as alias Armel, of legal age, and a resident of Sitio Napanpanan, Rajah Kabunsuan, Lingig, Surigao del Sur.
Operatives have filed for Double Murder against the suspect referred before the Provincial Prosecutors Office with docket number 13-03-INV-22E-231.
RD CARAMAT JR also added that the suspect in the death of Albert Martin Galido Macasmot, 39, a dump truck driver and a resident of P-1, Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City, was now identified as alias Roldan, of legal age and a resident of Brgy. Obrero, Butuan City, allegedly gave numerous death threats to the victim before the incident.
Under NPS docket number XIII-01-INV-22E-01749 a case of murder was already referred to the City Prosecutions Office, Hall of Justice, Libertad, Butuan City, against alias Roldan.
“For this period, we have achieved the justice that victims and their families deserve by apprehending wanted suspects. With these murder suspects now identified, they will undoubtedly face the justice system sooner or later, as we wait for the issuance of warrants from our respective courts assuring of apprehending them wherever they are hiding.” RD CARAMAT JR concluded.
