The Department of Tourism Caraga Region, headed by Regional Director Ivonnie B. Dumadag awarded and officially recognized SM City Butuan as the first DOT Accredited Tourist Shop in the region.
The Branch Manager, Ms. Kristine Joy Y. Baritua guaranteed to promote and integrate tourism excellence in their operations with their mall-goers. The management is also open to future collaboration with the agency to further showcase the tourism industry of the region.
Non-fiscal incentives such as priority to trainings and marketing and promotions are some of the benefits of being DOT Accredited.
