The intensified campaign against illegal drugs seized PHP 23,868.68 worth of shabu. It arrested a street-level individual (SLI) through a bust operation yesterday.
Provincial Director Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude disclosed that the joint buy-bust operation of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and the Anti-Illegal Task Group (AITG), with Tagana-an Municipal Police Station personnel, arrested a drug suspect Ian Loui Panuga Pamplina alias Kweng-kweng, 41, a resident of Barangay Libas in Tagana-an town.
Confiscated evidence during the operation included one heat-sealed transparent plastic shabu with an estimated weight of 0.9481 grams with an estimated street value of Php 6,447.8, one Php 1,000 bill as marked money, four pieces of transparent plastic shabu with an estimated weight of 2.5620 grams and an estimated street value of Php 17,421.6 and one unit of an Android cellphone.
“We will keep stepping up our campaign against illegal drugs for the future of the youth. Since drugs are the starting point for crimes, young people are frequently the victims. We’ll halt these drug problems whatever it takes,” PD Laude added.
Pamplina will face the charge of violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
