Surigao: Coastal Clean Up Drive gipangunahan sa City Agriculture Office

The City Agriculture Office led a Coastal Clean-up Drive from Brgy. San Juan to Brgy. Sabang in celebration of Farmers and Fisherfolks Month.

Joining forces were the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Provincial Fisheries Office (BFAR PFO), Federation of TODA, Sitio Cabalawan Farmers Association, Caglusong Baylan Farmers Association, as well as City Government employees, RICPROCO, Capalayan Irrigators Association, Panalong Magsasaka Service Cooperative, CAFC, CFARMC, Hugpong Balibayon Fishermen Cooperative, San Juan Brgy. Council, City Veterinary Office, City ENRO, and barangay residents.

The clean-up drive aimed to promote environmental stewardship and raise awareness about the importance of coastal cleanliness in preserving marine ecosystems.

Participants collected 40-50 sacks of debris, showcasing the community’s commitment to environmental well-being. (Mark James Lisondra)
