The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga Region has honored Surigao City with the 5th Place City Category in the 2023 Regional Subaybayani Awards.
The recognition applauds the city’s exceptional performance in executing projects, judicious fund utilization, and adept management of the SubayBAYAN Portal for the calendar year 2023.
The esteemed award was presented to Acting City Engineer Engr. Genevieve Pontevedra and City Planning and Development Office OIC Halan Besario today, December 18, at the Grand Palace Hotel in Butuan City.
SubayBAYAN, the innovative DILG Infrastructure monitoring system, encompasses all locally funded projects by the department. This platform integrates Geo-tagging, Map Integration, Physical and Financial Monitoring Graphs, Reports, and other practical analytical tools.
Surigao City’s achievement underscores its commitment to excellence in project implementation and financial stewardship, as recognized by the DILG Caraga Region. The SubayBayani Awards affirm the city’s dedication to transparency and efficiency in local governance.
