Engr. Junelito Abrazado, Manager of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines in Surigao City announced this morning at RPN DXKS that they are now ready for the resumption of domestic flights beginning December 1, 2020.
It’s a welcome development and Abrazado expressed deep gratitude to Governor Francisco Matugas for granting earlier the resumption of flights to its commercial operation.
The health protocols will be strictly implemented at the check-in counters, pre departure and arrival area. The floors are mark for physical distancing including the chairs for departing passengers including the hand washing facilities. Abrazado also ask passengers to download the e-Health QR Code of the province for the contact tracing while the border of Surigao del Norte will be unrestricted beginning middle of November.
Almost 8 months the commercial flights in Surigao City were suspended due to COViD-19 pandemics. Send off party or welcoming party are not allowed to enter the airport premises to strictly adhere to physical distancing. (RPN DXKS Surigao)
