CHERRIE TRINIDAD ASSUMES OFFICER IN CHARGE OF CITY TOURISM OFFICE WHILE ROSELYN ARMIDA B. MERLIN HEADS THE LIVELIHOOD TRAINING AND PRODUCTIVITY CENTER
Maria Theresa “Cherrie” Hermoso Trinidad from City Planning and Development Office was surprised upon receiving the office order issued by City Mayor Paul Dumlao that she will be the Officer In Charge of the City Tourism Office effective immediately while City Tourism Officer Roselyn Armida B. Merlin is reassigned and designated to be the Center Head and Assessment Center Manager of Livelihood Training and Productivity Center.
Mrs. Trinidad refused for an interview on the designation while Miss Merlin said she will be troubleshooting an office which was run before by consultants and suffered devastation because of Super Typhoon Odette.
Compliance audit is about to commence and the office needs to be in place. The welding area, electrical, graphic arts design with 25 students but only 4 computers are operational. Merlin said as a good employee of the City Government, she accepts the reassignment with no resentment as she is at all times ready to respond to the request of the city mayor.
City Human Resources and Management Office Chief Hairee Cel Pedimonte replied to RPN DXKS that Merlin is the 2nd department head reassigned by the new city mayor. The first order of reassignment was issued to Jupiter Dotillos last 2nd week of July this year. From City General Services, Dotillos was designated as Head of the Climate Change Task Force. Engineer Dionesio Buquid was pulled out from the City Engineering Office and designated Officer in Charge at the General Services Department.
