Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – The one-week Sportsfest of Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 that started on June 6 successfully ended last Saturday, June 11, with the Regional Headquarters Team declared as the Overall Champion.
The announcement of the winning teams was made during the Flag Raising Ceremony held at this camp today, June 13; meanwhile, the awarding of these winning teams is set on the morning of June 16.
PCOL FILEMON O PACIOS, Chief of the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division (RLDDD) 13, announced that Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) landed in the second place, Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) in the third, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 13 as fourth among the eight teams that competed. Based on the tallied scores, Regional Headquarters accumulated three gold, four silver, and one bronze; ADSPPO got three gold, two silver, and two bronze; BCPO with two gold, three silver, and two bronze; and the RMFB13 earned two gold and three silver medals.
The recently concluded PRO13 SportsFest competition includes a 5-man team shooting competition, basketball games, volleyball, badminton, and laro ng lahi.
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT, JR, PRO13 Director, emphasized that the inter-police unit competition showcased the athletic side of Caraga cops, fostered camaraderie among PNP personnel, and strengthened the relationship of all police units in the region.
RD CARAMAT JR is optimistic that the event will result in greater work productivity and further improve the quality of service that the police give to the people.
