𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗧𝗨𝗣𝗔𝗗): A community support program offering emergency employment for workers facing challenges.
On October 26, 2023, the City Auditorium hosted the TUPAD Payout event. This initiative, made possible by Tingog PartyList Surigao del Norte, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the City Government, aims to help displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers find work.
During this gathering, Vice Mayor Alfonso S. Casurra was in attendance, showing the city’s support for this important endeavor. The event was led by DOLE Provincial Head/Chief LEO May C. Velonta, TUPAD Focal Officers Yvonne V. Caaya, and Ana Delos Reyes, along with the TUPAD Coordinators.
In total, ₱1,000,000.00 was distributed as salary wages to 177 beneficiaries, each receiving ₱5,250.00 for their two-week work commitment.
This program only exemplifies Surigao del Norte’s commitment to the well-being of its workforce and the broader community.
