Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Kalilangan, Brgy. Nian, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 1:00 AM of September 14, 2020, perpetrated by suspect identified as Roleto Hinugin Perater, 35 years, male, married, farmer and a resident of same place.
The victim was his brother identified as Ruben Hinugin Perater, 32 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of abovementioned place. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident; the victim and suspect were having a drinking session at the store near their residence and engaged in an intense argumentation that resulted to a fight. The suspect got a knife and challenged his brother (Ruben) to a fight, then Ruben also get a knife and attack his older brother but fortunately was able to elude the assault and retaliate by stabbing twice hitting at the left portion of Ruben’s chest.
After the incident the victim was brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Hospital, Dao, Pagadian City for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The suspect fled towards municipality of San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.
PNP personnel of Dinas Municipal Police Station is now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspect.
