The City Council has ordered the demolition of stalls dubbed by a city councilor as “sex den” in Barangay Ayala, west of the city.
Councilor Cesar M. Jimenez passed the resolution following the shooting incident which happened Tuesday dawn in Ayala.
The “sex den” consists of 10 stalls which provide karaoke entertainment, said Jimenez.
“Public knowledge ya se alli sex den and prostitution den. Tiene karaoke ultimately cosa ta susede alli pure sex”, (Its already a public knowledge that is a sex den and prostitution den. There is a karaoke bar in the area but what is really happening there is purely sex.) Jimenez told his colleagues.
Jimenez also considered the structures (stalls) as obstructions aside from having violation in their operations.
He added that the City Health Office (CHO) must also check on the ladies in these stalls to make sure they have health cards.
The resolution will be sent to City Hall for implementation.
Jimenez further stressed that he is ready to face any court cases for having made such pronouncement. “I am ready to face any libel suit, I’m very sure there is rampant sex being committed there,” Jimenez concluded.
