Shooting incident occurred at Purok 4, Brgy. Picanan, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur at 1:50 AM of December 11, 2020. The victims were identified as Zeser Cadobdog, male, married, 22 years old, glass installer, and a resident of abovementioned place and Nicnic Ganias, male, single, 20 years old, farmer, and also a resident of aforementioned place.
Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim Zeser Cadobdog was having a drinking session with his friends at his house located at Purok 4, Brgy. Picanan, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur and while on the course of their drinking session, certain Jalanie Y Villarin, male, single, 22 years old, self-employed, and a resident of same place together with the victim Nicnic Ganias, arrived at said place and asked the victim Zeser Cadobdog, if he could fetch them going to Purok 4, Brgy. Boyugan West, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur using the single MC motoposh of Jalanie Y Villarin. When they arrived at the dark alley of Purok 4, Brgy. Boyugan West, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur, allegedly unidentified suspect with flash light on his hand suddenly approached them and shot them several times using undetermined caliber of firearm.
The victim Zeser Cadobdog sustained gunshot wounds on his lower back portion of his body and right arm and was rushed to Kumalarang RHU, Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur, while the other victim Nicnic Ganias sustained multiple gunshot wound on his body and brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City Hospital for immediate medical treatment but died while going to said hospital, while Jelan Villarin, immediately left the area on board the single motorcycle going to North direction, Picanan, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur.
Both victims were brought to abovementioned hospital by their respective relatives after the incident, while suspect allegedly escaped on foot heading to east direction of Purok 5, Brgy. Boyugan West, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur.
PNP personnel of Kumalarang Municipal Police Station still conducting manhunt operation to possibly identify, locate, and arrest the fleeing suspect as well as to determine the motive of the incident. (PCpt. Edwin A. Duco, Chief Public Information Officer)
