With the support and cooperation of our partner-LGUs and other agencies that compose the SAP Inter-agency team, CARAGA was able to finish the distribution of the Emergency Subsidy Program (ESP) under the Social Amelioration Programs (SAP) for non-pantawid beneficiaries in the region.
All the provinces namely: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur and the Province of Dinagat Islands finished the distribution within the allotted period.
This was made possible by the strong partnership between DSWD Field Office Caraga, the Local Government Units, PNP, AFP, DILG, and the different agencies that took part of the implementation of the Social Amelioration Programs.
THE ESP is a cash subsidy granted under RA No. 11469, with a minimum amount of Five Thousand (Php 5,000) to a maximum of Eight Thousand (Php 8,000), to provide for basic food, medicine, toiletries, and other basic necessities – to the most affected low-income and poor families belonging to the informal sector during the Enhanced Community Quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
