On June 13, 2020 around 11:00 AM, PSSg Mark Vincent B Dayondon and PSSg Jonathan T Rubillos, Station-Beat Patrol Officer brought the arrested suspect named Joel Terregosa del Castillo, male, 40 years old, single, laborer and resident of Purok-Rosas, Barangay Washington, Surigao City for Attempted Homicide that happened around 10:00 AM of June 13, 2020 in San Nicolas Street, infront of Surigao City Public Market, Barangay Washington, Surigao City upon the complaint of Nighgell Cabrera Razola, male, 23 years old, single, City Traffic Enforcer, and resident of Purok-3, Barangay Mabini, Surigao City. Investigation unveiled that the aforesaid suspect parked his motorcycle on the NO PARKING ZONE, he was advice by the said traffic enforcer to transfer his motorcycle to the parking zone. However, the same yelled “YAWA KAMO NA MGA ENFORCER SALIG KAMO KAY TRABAHANTE KAMO SA GOBYERNO!!” Thereafter, the suspect left the scene and went inside the Surigao City Public Market. Minutes later, the suspect returned armed with kitchen knife and stabbed the said victim. Fortunately, the victim was able to parry from the sudden attack, while the mother of the suspect is keeping on pacifying the suspect. The said enforcer sought assistance to the beat police officers in Borromeo Street, Surigao City that resulted to the apprehension of the suspect inside the Surigao City Public Market, Surigao City. The said knife was then turn over by the mother of the suspect measuring more or less 14 inches long to include the wooden handle. After apprising the suspect Constitutional Rights as construed in the Miranda Doctrine and the nature of their arrest to the language known to him and the Anti Torture Act, the same were brought to Surigao City Police Station for documentation and for filing of case.
