RD DIZON LEADS SWAT REFRESHER TRAINING CLOSING CEREMONY AND LAUNCHING OF “PROJECT KABALIKAT”

Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City—The Regional Director of Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5), PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, graced the closing ceremony of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Refresher Training on February 7, 2025, held at Tanghalang Magiting, Camarines Norte.

A total of nineteen (19) SWAT personnel completed the rigorous training program to enhance their tactical proficiency, physical endurance, and decision-making in high-risk operations. The event also showcased their skills in marksmanship, tactical drills, and simultaneous exercises, demonstrating their readiness to respond effectively to critical situations.

The PNP SWAT Refresher Training is designed to reinforce and review the specialized skills of SWAT personnel, ensuring they remain at the peak of their performance. The refresher course covers advanced firearms training, close-quarters battle (CQB) techniques, hostage rescue operations, and counter-assault strategies, among others.

In his address, PBGEN DIZON underscored the vital role of continuous training in maintaining the highest standards of law enforcement professionalism and effectiveness.

“This training has refined your skills, strengthened your endurance, and honed your ability to respond effectively to high-risk situations. The knowledge and proficiency you have gained will undoubtedly contribute to the attainment of the mission of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office – ensuring peace and order in our communities. May you take these lessons to heart and use them to safeguard the very people we have vowed to protect.”

Following the SWAT training graduation, PBGEN DIZON also led the official launching of “PROJECT KABALIKAT”, an initiative aimed at enhancing firearm proficiency among police personnel. “KABALIKAT” stands for KAsanayan sa BAril para sa LIgtas na KApulisan at Taongbayan, emphasizing the importance of marksmanship training, operational readiness, and responsible firearm handling in law enforcement.

This program seeks to empower personnel with confidence and competence in real-world policing scenarios, ensuring they are well-prepared to respond to threats with precision and discipline.

In his speech, PBGEN DIZON reiterated the significance of continuous training in upholding public safety and strengthening police capabilities.

“As we also mark the launching of ‘Project KABALIKAT,’ we recognize the importance of continuous training and preparedness in law enforcement. This firearm proficiency and operational readiness program is a proactive initiative that ensures our personnel remain sharp, confident, and disciplined in handling firearms. This is a significant step toward ensuring operational effectiveness and officer safety, as well as reinforcing public trust in our capabilities.”

With these initiatives, the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office (CNPPO) continues to strengthen its operational readiness and ensure that KASUROG Bicol remain highly trained, disciplined, and responsive to any security challenge.
