Rape Suspect Top 5 Most Wanted And 3 Others Arrested

Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – Following the continuous directive of Chief PNP DEBOLD M SINAS to intensify the operations, Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 arrested top five most wanted person and three wanted persons in separate operations for different offenses yesterday, February 8.

Police Brigadier General ROMEO M. CARAMAT, JR, Regional Director of PRO13 identified the arrested suspect as Severino G. Perocho Jr, 47, married, resident of Purok-8, Barangay Poblacion, Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur for the crime of rape. The local court issued with no bail on Perocho’s warrant of arrest. He was indicted of raping a minor in Barangay Poblacion sometime in October 2018.

Loreto Municipal Police Station (MPS) and 2nd Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested the suspect around 5:30PM in Purok-9, Brgy. Poblacion, Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur. He was listed as Top 5 Most Wanted Person in the municipality of Loreto.

Moreover, police operatives of San Francisco MPS, Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office together with the elements of Regional Intelligence Division 13 (RID) and Criminal Investigation Detection Group Surigao del Norte arrested Editho M. Requina, 63, in his residence in Purok 5, Barangay Honrado, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte around 6:30PM.

Requina has standing warrants of arrest for Acts of Lasciviousness and Grave Threats both in relation to RA Number 7610 (An act providing for stronger deterrence and special protection against child abuse, exploitation and discrimination and for other purposes) issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 30 in Surigao City dated January 11, 2021. The local court recommended bail bond of ₱ 80,000.00 for grave threats and ₱ 108,000.00 for acts of lasciviousness.

Record shows that Requina feloniously committed the crimes sometime in May and July 2020 which demean the dignity of the minor victims.

In Surigao del Sur, Cantilan MPS operatives arrested Eric M. Miranda, 25, resident of Purok 6, Barangay San Pedro, Cantilan for the crime of Homicide with recommended bail bond of ₱ 40,000.00.

Miranda is responsible in the killing of his brother during a heated argument inside their house on October 1, 2020.

Muly C. Dela Cruz, 29, was arrested by Lingig MPS in Sitio Mahogany, Barangay Tagpupuran Lingig for qualified theft. The warrant served was issued on December 14, 2020 by Regional Trial Court Branch 46 in Bislig, Surigao del Sur.

RD CARAMAT JR said that PNP Chief Debold Sinas vowed to significantly reduce crime and intensify manhunt operations on most wanted persons who are outlaws from justice and continue to pose threats to peace and order in our country.
